I’m a big fan of Road ID, a tag that has basic emergency contact information on it. I’ve purchased shoe tags for the kids. Thankfully, the only time these tags have been used so far is when my daughter left her running shoes at school and the teacher let her know that they were left behind.

When I was diagnosed with cancer, I decided to sign up for the Road ID medical band. This service allows people to enter their medical information to the Road ID site, which first responders can access by phone or website if necessary. With chemo and all of the different medicine, it was hard for me to remember what I was taking and when.

I remember seeing someone once with a medical ID bracelet once that looked like regular jewelry so I jumped online to see what I could find. Lauren’s Hope turned up, and I’m pretty sure this was it.

The rose filigree cuff bracelet caught my eye, because it looks like a piece of personalized Hawaiian bracelet I already own. While Lauren’s Hope offers a tech ID bracelet that allows first responders to access medical information, I opted to have the Road ID information engraved into my Lauren’s Hope bracelet instead of paying for both services.

Between the Road ID bracelet, Road ID tag on my running shoes, and Lauren’s Hope bracelet, my medical information is usually close at hand if any first responders should need it.
